Although No. 3 is written for a large orchestra, it is a unique work that also finds a light-hearted expression in the neoclassical tradition. No. 4 is similarly varied, with English horns, E-flat and bass clarinets, contrabassoon, harp, and other instruments. The piece also incorporates material from Polish folk music, a characteristic of hers, and offers a wonderful fusion of tradition and inspiration. The Cologne WDR Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Polish conductor Wukasz Borowicz, will perform the piece.
