The 33rd collection includes two cantatas and one motet. Cantata No. 102 for the Tenth Sunday after Trinity, \"Lord, Thine eyes have seen those who believe,\" was first performed in 1726. It contains a strong call for repentance of one's sins and rededication to God. The poignant melody is impressive, as if urging a strong sense of faith. The chorus at the beginning was later converted to the Mass in G minor, and the cantata No. 69a \"Praise the Lord, O my soul,\" first performed in 1723, was the \"original\" cantata before it was rearranged for the change of Leipzig city councilor ceremony in 1748. This is a rare recording of the original cantata, and this performance is a rare find. The accompanying motet, \"Fear not, I am with thee,\" is a funeral motet. The unexpectedly gorgeous tone is based on the Christian idea that death is not to be feared. The album includes the motet \"Fear not, I am with thee\" by Johann Christoph Bach, Bach's cousin, and Schmelzer's masterpiece \"Lament for the Death of Ferdinand III\" as a bonus track.
