Jin Ueda graduated from the music department of Horikawa High School in Kyoto and Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. In 2000, he won the first prize in the trumpet division of the 69th Japan Music Competition and the Matsushita Prize. In 2001, they won the first prize in the brass quintet division of the Japan Brass Competition 2001, as well as the Grand Prize, the Mayor of Kawasaki Prize, and the Senzoku Gakuen Prize.He has performed concertos with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Central Aichi, and others.
