My love of travel is as big as my love of music. As a child, I would create stories from the melodies I would spin on my guitar. Moved by the adventures of my grandfather's flight in his old jet, my imagination would spread its wings with the epic stories and legends I heard about Africa, Asia, and South America.I would follow my guitar to distant concert halls and theaters. I would also fall asleep to the sound of my father strumming his guitar. Although I was taught that music differed in style and region, to a child it was all the same, something that delighted me and made me feel loved. The album was recorded at the Château de l'erville studio in France, famous for producing outstanding albums by David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and Iggy Pop (closed in 1985, reopened in 2016). Co-performers included a wide variety of mezzo-sopranos, cellos, trumpets, and marimbas. This is a haunting album of beautiful melodies spun from deep inspiration in the legendary studio.
