The members of Surprise Chef are Lachlan Stucky on guitar, Jethro Curtin on keyboards, Karl Lindberg on bass, Andrew Kongs on drums, and their newest member, Hudson Whitlock, who handles everything from percussion to composition and production.\n\nThis album was recorded over the course of nine days. In terms of song structure, the band intended to incorporate techniques inspired by film scoring. Specifically, this involved the repetition and insertion of musical themes throughout the album to express concepts, moods, and emotions.\n\nThe musical influences on this album stem primarily from several European film score composers active from the late 1960s through the early 1970s.
