To listen to the tapes of these early demos, recorded on May 11, 1965 and sealed until now, is to hear ... traces of something that is hardly associated with the Velvet Underground. Blues and folk, earthiness, tradition, uncertainty, and hesitation ... this is already the established spirit of Lou Reed, and a revelation of the future.\"- Will Hodgkinson, MOJO Magazine LIGHT IN THE ATTIC RECORDS with LAURIE ANDERSON in collaboration with LOU REED ARCHIVE SERIES, the first installment of the LOU REED ARCHIVE SERIES. The album will be released as a celebration of the late Lou Reed's 80th birthday.
