The late Pier Nicolo "Bambi" Fossati (g/vo) and Maurizio Cassinelli (dr), nicknamed "Italy's Jimi Hendrix", formed GLEEMEN, which developed and changed its name to Italian heavy psychedelic/blues hard rock band. The band's debut album from 1972, developed from CGD in Italy, was reissued by Vinyl Magic in '23! This is the band's masterpiece, a concept album about a woman's life. The trio ensemble, centered around Fossati's versatile guitar playing with hard and heavy fuzz guitars and Jimi Hendrix-inspired chord work, is complemented by dramatic arrangements including keyboards, harmonica, and choruses.This is one of the most representative masterpieces of the band and Italian rock, with a total development/composition that reflects the band's unique rough dynamism and the progressive sensibility/elements of other Italian rock bands of the same period!
