Ronald Brautigam, a prodigy in the world of fortepiano, has recorded the complete works for piano solo by Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn, and has accomplished many other great achievements. The new album is the second collection of Mendelssohn's mute songs. Mendelssohn's pianism is more classical than that of Liszt or Chopin, but it is based on rigorous finger training, which makes it difficult and frightening to cheat. Brautigam is perfect in this respect. Throughout the entire work, he gives a lovely performance rich in nuance, and in particular, the sixth piece in Volume 5, \"Spring Song,\" Op. 62-6, captivates the listener with a delicate touch and pedaling that only Brautigam can express.
