The long-awaited reissue of "TUDO BEN," a collection of Jorge Ben covers released only on CD in 2008! Jorge Ben is a true musical hero of Brazil, who has continued to make samba and other traditional Afro-Brazilian culture accessible to the masses, while sophisticating it with a post-bossa nova sensibility. His influence on the Brazilian music scene has been enormous: "Taj Mahal" was the inspiration for Rod Stewart's "Do You Think I'm Sexy? This album includes only Ben's songs by artists such as Elsa Soares and Wilson Simoneau. Ben's music is the essence of Afro-Brazilian music, with its simple chord progressions and incantatory lyrics that create a hypnotic groove that is still enthusiastically supported by musicians and DJs around the world, and it is a pleasure to be able to listen to such music all together. This reissue features new photos that differ from those used for the original artwork.
