Description:
Marco Bernard, the bassist of the Finnish symphonic rock project THE SAMURAI OF PROG, is now known as a leading figure in the current symphonic rock scene. Although he has released several albums with Kimmo Porsti, also of THE SAMURAI OF PROG, this is his first solo album. However, the theme of this album is the same as that of his previous works with Kimmo, which were based on novels/fables, and this is a concept album about a boy named "Peter Pan" who never grows up.As is customary with Seacrest Oy label releases, the lineup once again includes the aforementioned Kimmo Porsti (drs), Steve Unruh (fl/vln/vo) of THE SAMURAI OF PROG, Oliviero Lacagnina (key) of LATTE E MIELE, KAYAK's Marcel Singor (g), Octavio Stampalia (key) of JINETES NEGROS, Marek Arnold (sax) of CYRIL/SEVEN STEPS TO THE GREEN DOOR/DAMANEK and others, and Rachel Hart (fl/vln/vo) of LAST KNIGHT and INNER Rafael Pacha (g) of PROSPEKT, Alessandro Di Benedetti (key) of MAD CRAYON, Marco Vincini (vo) of G.O.L.E.M., Hans Jorg Schmitz (drs) of KING OF AGOGIK, John Wilkinson(vo) of MOONSHOT, and many more. The band's modern symphonic rock music is still of stable quality, and this time the style is slightly more technical, with the band's own skillful bass playing particularly strong in the foreground. The band's keyboard playing is reminiscent of ELP in some scenes, and the medieval colors of the classical guitar/violin are also added to the mix, making this a colorful album with plenty to listen to!
