This replica was built by Christopher Clark (1947-), who was awarded the title of Living National Treasure by the French government, and is a very fine instrument that reflects the characteristics of the original perfectly. When fortepiano player Ayako Ito was a student at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, she had the opportunity to play both the original and the replica of this instrument, and the excellence of the instrument made her dream of making a CD recording someday grow. He was a visiting lecturer in the fortepiano department at his alma mater for three years.
