The RCO, which was founded in 1888, has a 120-year tradition and is known for its understanding of the works of its contemporaries. The RCO has been a leader in the world of music by commissioning and performing world premieres of works by Mahler and Strauss, including the world premiere of Bartók's Violin Concerto No. 2 (1939), performed solo by Székely, as well as the world premiere of the RCO's own work. Most recently, Henze's \"Dreaming Sebastian\" (RCO.06001) was given its world premiere in December 2005 under the baton of Jansons, and Berio's Formazioni was premiered by Chailly in 1987 as a commission work for the 100th anniversary of the orchestra's founding.Against this backdrop, RCO Live is pleased to announce the launch of a new series that will shed light on the music of our time. The name of the series is \"Horizon. The first volume of the series is a collection of live performances of world premieres and Dutch premieres that RCO performed in 2007. Colin Matthews, who made his name with \"Pluto,\" will perform the Dutch premiere of his BBC-commissioned Granat, which premiered at the Proms 2005. The world premiere of Eggert's Number Nine VI, a world premiere by the RCO, was one of the highlights of the \"Dutch Music Festival\". The subtitle is based on a painting of the same name made in California in the early summer of 1967 by David Hockney, a contemporary British painter who liked to paint poolside scenes.This work is very famous in the modern art scene for the \"very large splash\" that leaps from the pool, which has a strong impact on the viewer. According to Eggert, \"In painting, the moment of diving is forever suspended, but to express this permanence in music, which is a temporal art form, I adopted a minimalist, pattern-music approach. This is the second version of the first version without alto saxophone and jazz bass. The highlight of the album is Farbey's new work. This is the third time that the RCO has commissioned a trombone concerto, after Tomasi in 2001 and Berio in 2004, and this time it is a complete work in four different tempo blocks: slow, rapid, slow and rapid, The entire piece, consisting of four blocks with different tempos (slow, fast, slow and fast), is performed in a single breath by RCO Principal Mr. Reijen, the leader of the \"golden brass\".In addition to this work, all of the other numbers will be conducted by Henze's conductor, Stenz, a specialist in contemporary works who is well known for his demonstrations and recordings of contemporary music. Under his direction, the RCO's beautifully honed sound will invite us to enjoy even seemingly inaccessible contemporary works without hesitation. ［Comment courtesy of King International.]\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"RCO Live","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46106137952545,"sku":"5425008376301","price":228.0,"currency_code":"MOP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5425008376301.jpg?v=1691301023","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-mo\/products\/5425008376301","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
