Passing bass player for Les Arts Florissants. Paolo Zanes' Handel Program! The harpsichordist, a rising star in the world of ancient music, will perform Handel's Clavissant Suites, including the famous "The Well-Tempered Blacksmith," on a Gottfried Zilberman (ca. 1735) model German harpsichord built in Paris in 1995 by Anthony Saidi and Frederic Bal, as well as Handel and the English composer William Babel (ca. 1690-1723), a contemporary of Handel. In 1984, Paolo Zanes, a native of Cagliari, Italy, won the third prize in the harpsichord category at the Bruges International Competition for Old Music in 2010, and in 2011 he won the third prize in the harpsichord category at the Brussels International Music Competition for Old Music. In 2011, he was appointed professor of harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels. In 2011, he was appointed professor of basso continuo at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he has been active as a basso continuo player with the Musiciens du Palais du Louvre and the English Baroque Soloists, as well as assistant to William Christie at Les Arts Florissants, and in 2016 he conducted Lully's comedy-barre "Mr. Prusonyak" (new production) to great acclaim, He is a talented young man who is attracting a great deal of attention in the world of ancient music.The presence of Manuel Mojino, a renowned producer trusted by various old music labels and artists, is another point that fans of old music should not miss.
