This release—their first under the Dexys Midnight Runners name since 1985’s *Don’t Stand Me Down*—is a collection of stories from Kevin Rowland’s life, spanning from his childhood as a second-generation Irish-American and his family relationships to his later-life romances, loss, and reconciliation. Built around the theme of “love” in all its forms, the album transcends the boundaries of traditional romance to explore aging, memory, and emotional connections. It was produced by Belfast-born musician and DJ David Holmes, with support from Peter Schweir. Longtime collaborators Sean Read, Mike Timothy, Jim Paterson, and string arranger Brian Irving also contributed.
Formed in Birmingham in 1978, Dexys Midnight Runners released *Searching for the Young Soul Rebels* (1980), *Too-Rye-Ay* (1982), *Don’t Stand Me Down* (1985), and produced a string of Top 10 hits in the 1980s, including two No. 1 hits: “Geno” (1980) and “Come on Eileen” (1982). Frontman Kevin Rowland has since continued to release albums as a band under the name Dexys, in addition to his solo work; his 2012 comeback album *One Day I’ mGoingToSoar was widely acclaimed, and 2023’s *The Feminine Divine* reached No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. Rowland, one of the most distinctive and unique musical talents of the past 40 years, recently published his autobiography, *Bless Me Father*. The members of Dexys Midnight Runners are Kevin Rowland (vocals), Sean Read (keyboards and backing vocals), Mike Timothy (keyboards and backing vocals), Lucy Morgan (violin), Timothy Weller (drums), Janelle Martin (backing vocals), and Olli Martin (trombone).

Tracklisting:

1.My Life In England Pt. 1
2.You've Got The Love
3.Once A Man, Twice a Child
4.You're Alright
5.I Want To Be Holding You Next Christmas
6.I'll Always Love You
7.Strange Feelin'
8.It's Over Now
9.Old Love
10.My Life In England Pt. 2
