Description:
Live recording for WBAI-FM broadcast in 1967 is now available on CD! ALICE'S RESTAURANT" was made into a movie starring ARLO GUTHRIE himself in 1969, and became a symbolic statement of the late 60s US counterculture. The song, an anti-war talking folk blues satirizing the draft, the Vietnam War, and criticism of the police in a comical and humorous way, was recorded live in front of an audience on the original album, and this album contains three versions: February 27, May, and August 6, 1967. Two of the songs are free-form. Two of them are free-form 'RAINBOW ROACH' versions. This is a great recording that gives you a sense of the atmosphere of the era, which was strongly supported by the young people of that time.
