Description:
Live recording for WNCR-FM broadcast in 1972 is now available on CD! Take Heart" is a 1971 duo album by TOM JANS, who later released the great American SSW album "Eyes of An Only Child" with LOWELL THOMAS GEORGE in 1975, and MIMI, the younger sister of JOAN BAEZ, who was known as the husband and wife duo MIMI & RICHARD FARINA in the 1960's. The album was recorded live for WNCR FM in 1972. MIMI, who was also known as MIMI & RICHARD FARINA in the 60's, recorded a duo album "TAKE HEART" in 1971.Although the duo was introduced to each other by JOAN, they did not achieve commercial success at the time, but the following April 8, 1972 performance on the campus of CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY in Cleveland, Ohio, which is included in this album, features the same songs that JOAN also featured on the album, including "JANIS JOPLIN tribute song "IN THE QUIET MORNING", MERLE HAGGARD's "MAMA TRIED", single "GOOD GOD, I'M FEELING FINE", "MADMAN" and many more. The heart-warming folky masterpieces by MIMI's supple and core voice.
