Manfred Fest, a keyboardist from Sao Paulo who appeared in the midst of the samba jazz movement in the early 60's, left a very popular scat Brazilian fusion disc "Brazilian Dorian Dream" in 1976, which has been long-awaited analog reissue! A must for fans of Azimuth! The title track, "Brazilian Dorian Dream," is the first track on the album, featuring a lively spacey sound that makes full use of synthesizers such as rose, clavinet, arp, and mogues, a bullet-like groove based on samba, funk, and jazz, and a lively scatting performance by American female singer Roberta Davis. The title track, "Brazilian Dorian Dream," is a top-class Brazilian Rare Groove album, and the jazz-funk tune "Jungle cat," with its famous scat phrase, can be heard in the latter half of the album. The original in good condition has been hard to find in recent years due to its quality, so we are very happy to see this reissue.
