Inspired by experimental film, performance art, influences from Suicide and Divo, and punk rock ideology, the new wave band UNITS, along with SCREAMERS and CHROME, formed a new sound and scene in San Francisco. The band's debut album was released in 1980 and has had a great influence on synth punk, new wave pop, and even today's electro artists. The band's signature track "High Pressure Days", metronomic rhythms, harsh lines, and cool-headed expressions symbolize the early days of digital music, and the band's style is in the vein of NEU! Includes a CD of remixes by SCOTT RYSER in 2020.
