This is a trio disc by Michel Sardaby, a pianist whom Mr. Terashima has continued to introduce and love in his books for many years. Recorded in August 1990 at BIG BOX 901 studio in Tokyo, Japan, the trio is composed of Jay Leonhardt on bass and Albert Heath on drums. Thirty-two years after the recording, the trinity's performance has not faded away and continues to thrill us and move us again and again. This is a disc full of great performances, including "Madrugada," which was also included in "Jazz Bar 2021. (C)RS
