She is releasing her first collaborative album with her husband, conductor Domingo Indoyan!\nAlthough the program—featuring Martucci and Canteloube—may be somewhat unexpected, given that Yoncheva typically excels in Italian opera and Baroque works, Martucci’s works—with their rich legato and long, sustained phrases that evoke the lyricism found in Italian opera—truly allow Yoncheva’s voice and expressiveness to shine. She performs two pieces: *Song of Remembrance* and *Nocturne*.\nCompleted in 1914 by the French composer Canteloube—a little over a decade before his *Songs of Auvergne* achieved immortal fame—*Triptyque* is, as its name suggests, a collection of three songs. It is an elegant and delicate work in which Roger Ferran’s poetry celebrating nature is seamlessly integrated with a richly colored orchestra, and Yoncheva and Indoyan present it with a meticulous sense of balance.
