Indeed, the more one listens to the piece, the more one begins to believe that this is the original form of the symphony. The Unfinished Symphony has a scherzo based on a fragment from Schubert's (1797-1828) notebook and a final movement based on a fragment of music for Rosamunde. This is the true form!
