The lacquer disc was demonstrated at the High End Audio Show in Munich, where it received a great response, and the decision was made to release it commercially. The sound source itself is the same as the CD (YR-78873), but the Elliott Carter and Scriabin sonatas are omitted in order to fit the 45rpm disc. The original sound source was recorded directly on a 24-bit 2-channel digital recorder without any mixing, using only two Neumann U-47s of the original specifications with metal vacuum tubes VF-14s.
