Unearthed from the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation Archives!\n“Masterpieces of Orchestral Music”… Mostly Repertoire Being Presented for the First Time! Johann Strauss That Would Even Surprise Kuna!\nAlthough Takashi Asahina left behind a vast number of recordings, this collection of orchestral masterpieces is extremely rare. All tracks are sourced from Asahi Broadcasting Corporation’s treasured archives. It’s astonishing that, with the exception of “Voices of Spring” and works by Lyadov, this is the first time these pieces have been released on disc. This CD opens with Russian music, the roots of this maestro’s artistry. Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings was a favorite he continued to perform even in his later years, but his energetic conducting in the early 1980s evokes a fresh sense of wonder. Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Russian Easter,” with its bold and flamboyant brass, is also magnificent. And the highlight of this CD is the three pieces by Johann Strauss II. The grandeur of the “Emperor Waltz” rivals even that of Knappertsbusch, and I cannot help but be moved by the courage, confidence, and individuality with which he creates a vast world even in his waltz performances.\nTobu Land System\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Tobu Recordings","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595561132321,"sku":"4560250641157","price":150.0,"currency_code":"MOP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4560250641157.jpg?v=1790481660","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-mo\/products\/4560250641157","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
