LIGHT is a French symphonic rock project formed by Camille De Carvalho, a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, synth, keyboards, wind, percussion, and even ethnic instruments. The album is recorded by a total of 23 members, including Camille's own multi-players, a dedicated reed player/string player, and a mixed chorus. While maintaining a symphonic rock-like sound image, the band's elaborate arrangements and unpredictable developments seem to have been fed back from a wide range of musical backgrounds, including jazz and classical music, and the exotic sensations created by ethnic instruments such as morinhall, duduk and udu are naturally fused together, resulting in an avant-garde sound. The result is a maniacal sounding masterpiece with avant-garde qualities that is not straightforward.The ondes martenots seem to emerge from the thick fog, the bass clef wriggles like a recorder, and the violins and chorus build up at the climax. 112 minutes of epic storytelling!
