Description:
Finnish progressive rock band formed in 2002 with Juha Mattila (g) and Max Malin (drs) at the core, disbanded in 2010, but resumed their activities in 2007. The band's bassist Mikko Johansson, who was a member of STARFISH, the predecessor band of SUBSPACE RADIO, joined the band for this album, and compared to their two albums in the '00s, in which they played catchy hard rock with clear synths blended in, with a strong influence from RUSH in the '80s/'90s, this album is more "quiet" than their previous two albums, in which they played hard rock with a strong influence from the "RUSH" sound. Compared to the two albums from the 2000s, this album is closer to modern prog-metal with an arrangement structure built around edgy guitars while utilizing the rapid fluctuation between "static" and "dynamic".Each song features a different vocalist, whether male or female, and the technical instrumental numbers at the beginning and end of the album, such as "Last Call," which is sure to make fans of female symphonic metal groan, and "The House," whose experimental development makes it difficult to see what is to come. The experimental development of 'The House', which is unpredictable, gives the impression that the band has peeled off from the flow of the album, which has become more dramatic than ever before.
