By moving from the conventional Ricordi label to the major CBS label, the band chose to coexist with the new trends of the 80s, from old-style progressive rock to the new, and this ambitious work is a musical turnaround in an attempt to turn the band around commercially as well. Unlike mere pop music, Banco's intricate arrangements and stimulating sense of melody are still present. The album was a big hit, reaching No. 11 on the album chart, much to the surprise of traditional fans.
