I heard that they gave a wonderful live performance of Liszt's 'Year of the Pilgrim.'\" Fellner's insightful performance of \"The First Year\" makes Franz Liszt's point clearly and vividly conveys a literal imaginative journey. \"In 1855,\" Liszt wrote, \"the first year of my pilgrimage was the year of my death. \"In recent years I have visited many new countries, going through the various lands which have been the scene of history and poetry. And feeling that the workings of nature and the scenes which accompany it stirred deep emotions in my heart, I decided to depict in music some of the strongest sensations and most intense impressions.\"Fellner's Liszt was recorded at the Musikverein Vienna in 2002, with a 2010 concert recording of Beethoven's Sonata No. 32 at the Mahaney Center for the Arts in Middlebury, Vermont.
