A collection of organ works by two composers born in the 1950s, Jonathan Dove and Judith Weir. Although their musical styles are different, each work has a strong appeal that directly appeals to the heart. Weir's "Ettrick Banks" depicts a wild Scottish river, while Dove's "Niagara" shows an overwhelming waterfall in the rich sound of the organ. Other pieces include Weir's "The Wild Reeds Wild Reeds," which emulates traditional Eastern European folk instruments, and Dav's "The Dancing Pipes Dancing Pipes," which takes advantage of the pipes' unique sound of the organ.
