Sibelius is well known as the composer of seven symphonies and orchestral works such as \"Finlandia,\" but his 150 solo piano works (many of them small pieces) are not well known. From among them, Ansnes has selected 15 works and 24 tracks that resonate strongly with him, and has arranged them with exquisite ease to create a single Sibelius album.In the early 1990s, he became familiar with the complete symphonies (except for the 4th) and major orchestral works through the performances of the great conductor Pervo Berglund, with whom he frequently collaborated, and was captivated by the depth of the music.
