Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, a producer/composer from Orcas Island, WA, USA, now based in LA, has released many masterpieces since her official debut as a solo artist in 2015, but after the release of 2017's The Kid, she began to direct her energy in a variety of directions. She launched Touchtheplants, a platform for interdisciplinary and creative environments, and released the Electronic Series Vol 1 : Abstractions, Tides: Music For Meditation And Yoga, and a poetry collection. She continues to explore the infinite possibilities of electronic instruments and the form, movement, and expression found in the relationship between the body, sound, and color. In a nutshell," she says, "this album is an expression of my love and appreciation for electricity. During production, she reflected on her audio practice of moving electricity through her body during daily exercise, sending currents through modular senses into the air through her speakers.It was not a so-called existing dance, but a self-taught improvisational movement that, in addition to flexibility and strength, achieved a "visual language" (taught to her by filmmaker Sean Hellfritsch) derived from the human body and composed in the form of vibration. It felt like a mosaic "as a reference for how to visualize frequencies. And this nine mosaic of transformations was completed. The result is a mysterious dreamy ambient music that makes full use of modular synths, symphonic phrases, shimmering electronic sounds, nostalgic organs, vibraphones, and more, fused with a fantastic tapestry of vocals and drawn out as if overflowing. Stereolab, formed in the 90's, is an indispensable band in the alternative music scene with a wide range of music that encompasses krautrock, post-punk, pop music, lounge, post-rock, etc. After a 10 year absence, Stereolab is back with a full-fledged reissue of their 7-title catalogue that has been a brilliant addition to the music history. As the third and final installment of their seven-title reissue campaign, Stereolab is releasing two new albums, 2001's "Sound-Dust," co-produced by Jim O'Rourke and John McEntire, and their first self-produced album in a long time. The third reissue of the seven-title campaign concludes with the reissue of two albums: 2001's "Sound-Dust," co-produced by Jim O'Rourke and John McEntire, and 2004's "MargerineEclipse," a self-produced album. Once again, the album was supervised by member Tim Gaine and remastered by Bo Condren, who also mastered Denki Groove, and features bonus material including alternate versions and demo recordings.
