Overall supervision is by Hideki Matsutake, a pioneer of Japanese synthesizer programming and current honorary member of the Japan Synthesizer Professional Arts Association. 'Switched On Hits \u0026amp; Rock' is a lesser-known work by synthesizer maestro Isao Tomita, released in 1972 as an easy listening album of Western music covers shortly after he acquired a Moog synthesizer. The original release was a 4-channel record. The know-how gained during its production process culminated in the later global hit \"Moonlight\" (1974), making its historical significance extremely high.
