Each released a classic album as solo artists. Luca released \"Vivaldi: The Four Seasons\" in October 2019, and Hauser released \"Classical\", a collection of classical masterpieces, in February 2020. The two had also been performing solo throughout Europe, but a worldwide pandemic spread in the spring of 2020. After canceling their scheduled performance schedule and having time to reflect on themselves, the two went back into the studio as 2CELLOS to work on timeless rock anthems and pop classics, and completed a new album.
