This is the soothing country-rock sound that he draws from his own search for peace of mind under lockdown. His latest solo album \"Love is the King\", which was released prior to distribution, is now available on CD! Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. In addition to his work as WILCO, he has recently been releasing works as a solo artist and as Tweedy with his son, and has completed a solo album following his 2018 solo album \"WARM\" and the sequel work \"WARMER\" released in 2019. He was also busy as WILCO, releasing the album \"ODE TO JOY\" last year and his own book \"HOW TO WRITE ONE SONG\", and his latest work \"LOVE IS THE KING\" was released in October as a distribution advance. The album was produced during the lockdown following the spread of the coronavirus this spring. Following its distribution, the album is finally being released on CD and analog LP. After Wilco's North American tour dates from March were postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus, which also raged in the United States, Jeff returned to his home in Chicago. There, he avoided the anxiety and chaos of the global crisis and set himself the task of staying in the studio with his sons Spencer and Sammy, writing and recording a song a day until the album was ready. Creativity and music were the only things that brought them comfort and relief. In writing the songs, they did not want to focus on the great turmoil in the outside world, but rather to look inward and express the fears, separations, and vulnerabilities that arise in the heart. Jeff embraces the duality of living and loving with his wisdom and wit. As in the lyrics of the title track, \"Life is not equal\/Love is king.Another song on the album, \"Robin Or A Wren,\" mourns death while embracing reincarnation, contrasting despair and hope. Other pieces touch on personal themes in poetic narratives reminiscent of short films, while also gaining widespread sympathy. The songs on this album, produced by Jeff and Tom Schick, use music and poetry to express the struggles of people in a particular time period, but they do not directly allude to that time period, but rather blur it in places. Also noteworthy is the humorous music video for \"Gwendolyn,\" in which Jeff's mouth is replaced by the mouths of various characters, including Elvis Costello, Robyn Hitchcock, Norah Jones, and his sons.
