Marek Janowski records Cavalleria Rusticana on SACD hybrid disc. Marek Janowski is a master of recording and performing. In 1888, Mascagni won the first prize in the Sonzomio Music Publishers' competition for the opera "Cavalleria Rusticana," and the recognition of this work paved the way for the Verismo Opera. It is a work that opened the door to Verismo Opera. The story is about Duriddu, who has been discharged from the army and seeks love from Santuzza as a substitute for his former lover Laura, who is now married to Alfio, but he is unable to give up on Laura, and they have a series of secret meetings.
