Michael has been enjoying the works of Stereolab, Broadcast, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and others that share the same "psychedelic" feel. This album is the result of mixing the sensibilities of ALEX G, ANDY SHAUF, and WEYESBLOOD, SSWs who have been aspiring to create pop music in recent years, with these works as a foundation. The first publicly released songs "SEE IT THROUGH" and "TUESDAY" are psychedelic pop, but they also function well as songs, demonstrating MGMT's level of taste already!
