Description:

Formed in '89 with Nik Comoglio (p/organ/synth) as the core, the band left two albums in the 90's and went on hiatus, but was revived in the 2010's with a new lineup including Riccardo Ruggeri (vo). The '21 album from Italy's Ma.Ra.Cash Records will be re-released in 2010 in a limited edition analog version with turquoise-colored vinyl. As the title suggests, this work is based on the ancient Indian treatise on sexual love, "Kama Sutra," which was written in the 4th to 5th centuries and is the oldest extant scripture. The work compares the difference between the sexual acts described in the sutra as a "way of life" and those in modern society that end in self-satisfaction, and at the same time, it is said to teach the "love of life for human beings". The rhythm section has been rejuvenated since the last album, with new members Simone Rubinato (b) and Eddy Franco (drs). In addition to the performances by the band members, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Francesco Zago of YUGEN/NOT A GOODSIGN is featured as on the previous album, making the sound world even more spectacular. The arrangements, which make full use of Riccardo Ruggeri's unique and unique vocalizations and vintage keyboards, remain unchanged from recent albums, but the compositions are more powerful and straightforward, with an emphasis on hard rock, and the lyrics are all in English, making them more accessible to the listener than ever before. The music is more approachable than ever before. The band's dark, chaotic, symphonic sound, which was common to many Italian rock bands of the 70's, combined with modern, complex harmonics, creates a new aspect of the band's isolated musicality. Guest musicians include David Jackson (saxophone), formerly of VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR and currently of KAPREKAR'S CONSTANT, and Annie Barbazza (vo), who is also active as a solo artist.
