Glass has gone on to compose Symphonies Nos. 2, 3, 4 (“Heroes”), 5 (Choral), 6 (“Plutonian Ode”), and 7 (“A Toltec Symphony”), and now a recording of his Symphony No. 8 is already available. The world premiere in November 2005 was conducted by R. Davis, who has maintained a deep connection with Glass since his Symphony No. 1, and this CD marks the world premiere recording. The “Orange Mountain Music” label also features a recording of Symphony No. 6 with the same Bruckner Orchestra Linz, which has been a staple since its release; this new album is likewise a must-have (a must-have for Glass fans). Comprising three movements [Movement 1 (19:27), Movement 2 (12:18), Movement 3 (6:57)], this majestic, large-scale work performed by a full orchestra is a must-listen.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Orange Mountain Music (OMM)","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53474713993505,"sku":"801837002829","price":25.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/801837002829.jpg?v=1788912797","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ie\/products\/801837002829","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
