The famous conductor Armin Jordan's broadcast recordings are now available on CD: Bloch's "Chelomo" and Dutilleux's "To a Far Far Away World", both of which feature solo cellos. Neither work, and neither Bloch nor Tutieux, was probably ever recorded by Jordaan. Both are very well performed, especially Dutilleux's "To a Far Far Away World," and the Swiss cellist François Guiller is also on fire. François Guillé, born in 1953 in his native Geneva, was principal solo cellist of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande from 1979 until recently. Tobu Land System
