The works here are by four composers. Telemann's work is based on a French opera, with an impressive short chorale followed by a technical aria. Dorres was a pupil of Bach. His motets, which combine grace and elegance, foreshadow the Viennese Classical School. Kreps, who also studied under Bach, was the most highly regarded pupil of his time. The exciting works of Telemann contrast with Bach's great motets, and the works of his pupils are included together to provide depth. King International
