A beautiful collection of works by Rolf Mattinson, one of the most popular Swedish composers of our time! This is the second collection of works by Swedish composer Rolf Mattinson (1956-), following "Premonition" (BISSA2133), which includes "Open Minds" and "Orchestral Lieder on Poems by Emily Dickinson". Opening Sound" begins with fanfare-like music commissioned by the Reutlingen-Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra for the inauguration of its new concert hall in January 2013. Thinking of You..." was co-commissioned by the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Philharmonia Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra for Lisa Larsson, Goethe, and Rilke, The concert was co-commissioned by the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. The energetic and dramatic "Power of the Force" was commissioned by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra to be performed at the opening of the concert. Towards Eternity was commissioned by the Malmö Symphony Orchestra to Mattinson for the opening of their new home, the "Malmö Live" concert hall.It is based on two poems by the Swedish poet Karin Bouygues, "The Time" and "The Deep Cello of the Night". The Estonian conductor Pawel Magi (1953-) was chosen to conduct the sessions for this collection. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and has been the artistic director and principal conductor of the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra since 2004. King International
