The Norwegian Girls Choir is an independent and continuing ensemble of the Norwegian Radio Girls Choir, founded in 1947.The choir has played a major role in Norwegian cultural life, nurturing many well-known singers, musicians, and artists. The conductor, Sundahl-Ask (1973-), studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music with Grete Pödeschen and Tore Erik Mohn. She has conducted the Norwegian Girls Choir and the mixed choir Bisle-Bekken, as well as other choirs throughout the country. Her music is highly regarded for its clarity of vision and ability to communicate it to the singers, and for its emphasis on intonation, quality of sound, and ensemble. The program begins with "Honorable Rendezvous," sung with traditional singing techniques, and ends with the "Waltz" of the shepherds of the Vestfold region. The wind crosses the plateau. ......
