Polish Violin Sonatas on Guarneri 1738 "ex-William Kroll"! Alyona Baeva was born in 1985 in Kazakhstan (then in the Soviet Union), and won the first prize at the Wieniawski International Violin Competition (2001), the Paganini Moscow International Competition (2004), and the Sendai International Music Competition (2007). He also performed at La Folle Journée TOKYO 2018 and will perform for the first time with the NHK Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Paavo Järvi in February 2019.Vadim Kholodenko, born in 1986 in Ukraine, is one of the next generation of violinists attracting worldwide attention.Van Cliburn He has won the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (2013), the Maria Callas International Piano Competition (2004), and the Sendai International Music Competition (2010), among others.Following their previous NIFC recording "Karłowicz: Violin Concerto" (NIFCCD067), this new recording features a rich Polish program featuring Szymanowski and Paderewski.
