Tunico makes his debut from Rio de Janeiro, the city that has produced Brazil's representative music such as samba, bossa nova, and MPB. His works are released on FAR OUT, a long-established Brazilian-jazz label in the UK. Antonio Cetin, aka Tunico, is a self-taught musician who acquired his skills playing in live houses and streets all over Rio de Janeiro, and he performs with up-and-coming musicians in Rio. M1 "Galope" starts with a pleasant percussive acoustic guitar, and the interplay of electric piano and flute over a fast-passage rhythm is exhilarating, with lush guitar arpeggios that dance like contemporary folklore over pleasant drum brushwork.
