Debut of the up-and-coming young British quartet Jubilee String Quartet! Rubicon, the "creative home" for the next generation of talented young artists, presents the debut album by the Jubilee String Quartet, an up-and-coming quartet formed at the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2006. The group takes its name from the "Jubilee Line" of the London Underground, where its members lived, and has won prizes at international competitions including Val Tidone (1st prize, 2010), St. Martin's (1st prize, 2013), Karol Simanowski (2nd prize, 2014), and Trondheim (3rd prize, 2013). They have participated in master classes with renowned ensembles such as Shkampa, Wihan, and Tchilingirian, and in 2018-2019 they are studying with Oliver Ville (violinist of the Kuss String Quartet) as an associate string quartet at the Royal Birmingham Conservatory of Music, Innovation, The quartet makes an impressive debut with a collection of Haydn's string quartets, full of innovation, drama and wide-ranging emotion.
