Midge Euro was a key figure in the post-punk and new romantic music scene of the 80's, playing in Ultravox and producing with Visage, as well as organizing the historic Live Aid with Bob Geldof. Midge Euro's first solo album, "The Gift," released in 1985, will be released in a deluxe 4-CD edition featuring the latest remastering and many bonus tracks. The lead single "If I Was (All My Love Is For You Alone)" reached #1 in the UK charts, and the following two singles, "That Certain Smile" and "Wastelands," were also top 50 hits. The shift to a different pop route from Ultravox also helped, and the album "The Gift" was a huge hit, eventually reaching #2 in the U.K. charts. This deluxe edition with media book contains the latest remastered soundtracks of the main album, single B-sides, single versions, extended mixes, unreleased sessions, early versions, and rehearsals, as well as previously unreleased live material from the Wembley Arena on December 23, 1985. The album includes previously unreleased live recordings from Wembley Arena.
