Description:
Dopra was also a horn player in Paris, France. As a pioneer of the horn tradition in Paris, his style incorporates characteristic aspects of the Classical and Romantic schools. Although this music has not had many opportunities to be performed recently, it is sure to attract renewed attention as a work that has made known the potential of the horn in terms of technique. The performance was given by David Frehli, a horn player of the Staatskapelle Weimar and professor at the Salzburg Mozarteum. The collection also includes other works for horn quartet.
