The talent of Kenichi Ikeda, whose ROOT SOUL has been recognized by Bootsy Collins and Bill Laswell, bursts forth! The first new album in 13 years is an emotional and organic hybrid sound that fuses funk, soul, disco, boogie, jazz, rock, and Afro. The album features a thick groove designed for live performances, uplifting horn arrangements, futuristic synthesizers, and boogie-slappy bass lines throughout, resulting in a funky music for the 21st century. Participating musicians include Ken Kurihara, a member of the Kyoto Jazz Sextet and known for supporting SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS; Hidekazu Nishioka of Central/VenueVincent; Kazutake Takeuchi of A Hudred Birds; Sosei Kimura of Osaka Monorail; and others. Sosei and others.UK vocalist Andrea Clarke, who was also featured on the first album, joins the band, and the re-recording of "She's Got It," which was also cut as a single on the preceding 7inch (AHS-062), is a delight. The artwork is by Tokio Aoyama, who is constantly receiving offers from all over the world. The power of "She's Got It" will inspire and inspire all mankind!
