Blossom Dearie (1924-2009), the "Whisper Voice Fairy," has been active since the 1950s with her cute singing voice and solid piano technique. To commemorate the release of the miraculous discovery of 27 previously unreleased recordings she left on the Fontana label in London between 1966 and 1970, four albums from her Fontana period have been reissued in the latest remastered and paper-jacket editions. This is the world's first CD release of this studio album recorded in 1967. With fantastic arrangements by Reg Guest, the band performs classic songs such as "Alfie," "Sunny," and "Jinji. Blossom's lyrical piano, said to have influenced Bill Evans, is also noteworthy. Two bonus tracks are included.
