Theee林'S

Description:

The first distributed soundtrack from THEE Hayashi's, who have been active in Sapporo and garnered critical acclaim in some quarters. The band is sometimes described as "easternyouth meets Mr. Children" with its roaring guitars that run rampant over a strong rhythm section and introspective lyrics sung over catchy melodies. In March 2020, Kato (gt/vo), who had been working mainly as a solo artist and home recording artist, and Hongo Galaxy (ba/cho), who had been working mainly with another band, will join the band to perform at the closing event of Sapporo spirituallounge, which was decided to close in the midst of the Corona boom. Kato (gt/vo), Hongo galaxy (ba/cho THE Takeda group, etc.), and Kubouchi (dr/cho colorchord, etc.), who were mainly active in other bands, got together and formed the band. The first live performance was a great success, and the group continued its activities. Due to the corona epidemic, all the performers except themselves had to withdraw from the events they were scheduled to appear at, but they changed the event to a one-man live performance. The group continued to hold self-organized events and one-man shows, etc., which were well received. The rhythm section consists of Hongo Galaxy's heavy yet mellow bass line and Kubouchi's delicate yet destructive drums, with Kato's violent guitar and high tone vocals. Some call it easternyouth meets Mr. Children. The band strives to produce a huge sound and to play in such a way that the scenery of the song is projected into the listener's brain, aiming for a coexistence of roaring sound and poetic world expression. This album begins with "Irradachi" and "hitorigoto supernova," in which he sings about his own views on life and death with a roaring guitar, followed by "fogy," which is a song about the struggles of everyday life with the slang for old people, "cold fish," which focuses only on his own violence, "northern spring scene," a song about spring in Hokkaido with strong influence from Kururi, and "hitorigoto supernova," a song about a sense of loss. The first album consists of seven songs: "Kitakata Harukkei", a pessimistic song about loss, "Anaboko (THEEE Ver)", and "Untitled", a ballad that has long been a favorite of local listeners. Kitaguchi, one of Sapporo's leading alternative guitarists, plays guitar on "hitorigoto supernova," and Kentaro Yamamoto of The Genghis Khanz plays violin on "untitled.
