Known for his work with Satellites, a six-piece band that blends folk and psychedelic with funk and disco, Itamar Kruger has gained a worldwide audience with appearances on everything from Seattle's KEXP to BBC Radio 6 Music to France's FIP. and incorporates a wide range of influences such as Levante dubke, Persian bandari music played at weddings and other celebrations, traditional "Khaliji" music heard in the Gulf, traditional Turkish folk songs, and Afrobeat, Saharan blues, indie rock, electronic music, Jamaican roots & dub, and more. The band incorporates a wide range of influences such as"Saved from the Jazz" was the first core of this new project and was included on Batov Records' first full compilation, Middle Eastern Grooves.
